¨Kauyumari¨, the blue deer, the guiding spirit of the ¨Wixárikas¨ -mexican indigenous community located in the states of Nayarit, Jalisco, Durango and Zacatecas, protectors of the ¨Peyote¨- offers its teachings when FOUR hunters -represented in the photo serie by the women of the Rojas family- arrived in the desert of San Luis de Potosí, Mexico, praying for the rains to arrive and for earth to begin to bear fruit. Day by day as the seasons go by, human begins to weave and flourish. In the desert of Real de Catorce, the elements coexist through time: earth, water, fire and air. The deer is as a child like corn, young like the gobernadora, adult like the maguey and old like the Hikuri. It is timeless. Everything is transformed but at the same time it remains in the sacred territory. Everything seems to disappear and also survive as a lost mirage. Everything is mysterious and magical. The wisdom and knowledge of the grandmother embrace me during ninety days in the desert of ¨Las Margaritas¨.
